What is human consciousness?
RESEARCH
The Institute's mission is to research and publish the world's first truly definitive and truly robust academic study and scientific paper on reported cases of post mortem survival of consciousness. Thousands of reports and cases are currently being examined and investigated in detail. A final top twenty will be selected from these and subjected to intense examination for veridical proof.

IN MEMORIAM
HICS was founded in loving memory of Heidemarie Hardman (1924-2024) whose steadfast belief and faith that "we will meet again" was constant and unwavering. She experienced an out of body NDE in hospital during a miscarriage with severe blood loss in 1953 and HICS is a tribute to her pure soul, her love and kindness, her faith and strength until the end, and her unshakable conviction that "there is so much more than we know".
